Day 44 - 6 Week Post-Op Video

The audio is off on this video a bit, I am sorry, I know how obnoxious it can be to watch a video when the audio doesn't match up, but I can't figure out how to avoid it from happening!

Dani...Girl, you are looking smokin' HOT! Lol. The last pic, where you are smiling, is gorgeous. Your transformation has been really outstanding. Lucky girl!

Dani I am sooo glad you mentioned you back molars not touching in your video!! I have the EXACT problem. When I was first able to pull my cheeks to the side to check out my bite I freaked out!!! I was like WHAT?? why aren't my molars touching?? There is a small cap and it's weird because these teeth were touching pre surgery. I had the same reaction from my ortho as you did. He didn't seem all that concerned and said he will change the elastic configuration soon to focus on bringing these molars closer together. I guess It's not the end of the world If they don't meet perfectly but it would be nice if they did.

Your video is so in-depth, it's great to see you talking so well. I have a few short clips that I have taken throughout my recovery, which I might edit together into a video. Might do that later on today so say tuned! haha.

I think your smile is very similar to mine at the moment. Still looks slightly strained and forced. This might sound ridicules, but because I have never had any chin definition, I almost feel like my smile makes me look like I have an underbite now. I'm just not used to seeing my chin/jaw so forward and sticking out. So weird and I know this is not the case at all, but Its different and takes time to adjust to it.

Cece - you are so funny :) Thank you!

Rhianna - Yes my smile is absolutely forced. I cannot figure out how to do it properly! I am SO used to pulling my jaw forward and smiling that way, so now that I don't have to do that, I don't really know HOW to smile for pictures.

Lookin' great! Thanks for the video. As I said to the last one, it really helps me understand the healing process better to actually see you. You already sound better than last video and your face is moving more naturally, too. I'm so excited for you!
