I spent Saturday and Sunday night at my cabin for a little 4th of July / Grandpas birthday celebration. Nearly the whole family made it up and we had a really great time. I went out to Famous Dave's and had a BBQ pulled chicken sandwich that I was able to eat pretty easily. I didn't bite into it, but cut it into pieces instead. I really am getting to the point where I am able to eat whatever I want to eat, other than hard veggies. I ate all the same things that everyone else ate all weekend, which was great.
I still can't figure out what is wrong with my face. I don't feel like I look like a normal person. I feel like I look so strange, like I don't blend in with everyone else. My face shape seems so odd, and my smile looks creepy to me. I felt like I was getting more comfortable with the way I looked in the mirror, and actually felt pretty good all day Sunday about my appearance, but after seeing a picture of my grandpa and I, I am feeling back to how I felt before about my face.
Happy Fourth of July!!

You're looking great Dani! Your smile doesn't look creepy at all. Looking at your older pictures things still seem to be changing for you...less swelling and better movement too. Hang in there :)

Honestly Dani you look beautiful. I wouldn't even know you'd had surgery and your face does not look weird at all. I just sent a link of the pic with your grandad to my friend (I didn't tell her who you were or that you'd had surgery) and asked what she thought of your appearance. She said you look pretty and when I told her you'd had jaw surgery she said 'I wouldn't have known she'd had anything done, I'd be happy with that face!' I know it feels weird to you, but honestly to everyone else you look so pretty.

You look great Dani. Like Sarah and bracdemom have said - you don't look like you've had surgery. And your smile looks lovely. I know the changes seems so subtle and slow but if you compare to 10 days ago you can already see fine changes. Really, you look very pretty.

You can tell by the pic with your grandpa that you still have some swelling. No worries, it will go away...eventually. You and I both are waiting anxiously for that last bit to go away. It will...we just need to be patient. You do look freakin awesome though!
