a 21 year old on a journey through upper (3 piece Lefort I) and lower (BSSO) orthognathic jaw surgery
Day 43
Posted by Dani at 1:25 PM
I think I will try to do a video update tomorrow, so I won't say too much here. I have my first real post-op appointment with Dr. S. Even though I have seen him twice already, no work has actually been done. I think I will be having x-rays taken and am crossing my fingers to get my surgical hooks out!
I apologize for looking so terrible in half these pictures. It's the middle of summer and have tons of lazy days, sans makeup and throwing my hair up in a bun. :) My lips still aren't touching without effort. I am hoping getting the surgical hooks out will help with this a little bit.

Wow looking so great. I know how frustrating it can be adjusting to the new look. We see what others don't. Iife is so much sweeter without surgical hooks. Loved your last video post what a great idea. I don't know how to be so creative. your beautiful sweet girl!!!

It should continue to easier to close your mouth. I have mine closed now without thinking about it. But it took a while...
