Old and New

Old pictures of me are weird. Like, really, really weird.

I notice my no-where-near-visible chin in pictures even more NOW than when it was actually my face.

The pictures of myself that I thought I looked pretty (you know, the 'this is definitely facebook profile pic worthy) now make my face all scrunchy and make my brain confused. I used to love certain pictures of myself (see the picture of Jackson on my shoulders) and now I think I look odd.

Enjoy the totally random hodge podge of pictures I've put together....

That must be a crazy feeling to see yourself so differently, can't wait to be at that point. You look gorgeous! I love this last picture of you! Your jawline is perfect!!

You were definitely beautiful before I think you will age much better now. I never thought you looked long in the face pre-surgery but now that I can compare, I guess you were a bit. I definitely was and can tell you that by 30, I felt ooooold! Cuz I looked old... I was recently reading about how long faces age you and its funny because now I feel so much younger. I think people treat me like i'm 30 (i am 32) and before they treated me like I was a 40 yr old mom with 3 kids in tow. Really shows how other people's perception of you can have such an influence on how you feel.

    I looove that fushia dress!

Miss talking to you too! Your big debrace day is right around the corner! My attitude is positive, yes, but boy do I wish I were in your shoes! I have so much metal shit installed in my mouth, sucks! Lol. You are going to look hot! Can't wait to see your debraced pics!

Dani I think you were so cute in your pre-surgery photos and I especially love the pic of you and your nephew (I think that's who he is right?). I think you look gorgeous now! How long did it take you to really like your new face? I know you struggled with it in the beginning but now it seems like you've completely adjusted. This is hard for a lot of people I've read.

I think it's really good that you've put in pre- and post- pics that were just general pictures, not ones you were taking specifically for jaw comparisons, because at the moment when I take pictures of myself for my blog, they are the least attractive pictures of me in existence, and I'm specifically displaying and pointing out all my flaws. In normal pre- pictures, you're obviously trying to look your best, so it probably gives a good representation of what you looked like in day to day life, rather than up-close unflattering head shots. You were very pretty before surgery, and you're even prettier now. I can totally see why people would say to you 'there's nothing wrong with how you look' before surgery, because you were already very pretty, but I think the surgery has done what you wanted it to do - sorted out your jaw problems but still kept the rest of your pretty face the same! I hope my surgery does the same to me! Although I'm obviously self-conscious about my jaws, I don't consider myself to be completely ugly in general, so I hope I stay looking like me, just with normal jaws! You look gorgeous, congratulations on such successful surgery!
