Fourth Checkup

I went in for my fourth (scheduled) appointment at the ortho today. I actually had to drive home from school on Friday because the wire on my upper right was poking into my cheek and driving me crazy. I didn't want to be stuck dealing with it through the weekend and the week, until today's appointment.

Today I got my wires changed! On both top and bottom, and they're bigger! I always get excited with wire changes, because I feel like leaving the same wires on is just keeping me in limbo and I am not making any progress. Well, they bumped me up to 20's! Does anyone know the actual sequencing of wire sizes? I am not sure what I would have started at ?
I am in the midst of finals week, so wish me luck! I have two on Monday (Genetics and Zoology) and a presentation on Tuesday. I am trying to spend a lot of time at home in the next few days between my finals, as it feels more 'Christmas-y' here than it does in my sorority house. I will be jetting off to Australia right after Christmas, so I am thinking it won't feel much like the holidays once I land in 85 degree weather. I am trying to soak up as much of it as I can now!

It's Jack Jack's first Christmas, and we are all SO excited, so expect a few pictures after the holidays :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

Hi Dani! Congrats! I thought I was in 20's but turns out I am 20 on top, 18 on bottom. I got my braces on June 2nd. Didn't you get yours on after that!? They must be moving you quickly! :-)

Hey Dani! Congratulations on getting your wires changed! Is this the first wire change for you? How long have you been in braces so far? I've only had braces for 2 months and no wire changes yet. Actually, my bottom wire just got put on last week because of my extractions. I'm not sure about the wire sizes although I'm very curious about this!

Have fun in Australia! I'm jealous :-)

Can you guys tell me if my font looks massive on your screen? On my laptop, the 'normal' font size looks TINY, so I am using large, but on the computer I am currently using, the font looks huge! So please let me know :)

Yep, I got my braces on August 12th, so it's been just over 4 months! My teeth have moved really quickly. For how crooked they were, I will only be in braces for 9-10 months prior to surgery, which is such a relief to me. I do not think I had a wire change before 2 months either, I had one a few weeks ago, but they kept the same size wire. I am pretty sure this is my first jump up I have had, so I am excited about it!

Dani - the font is normal (arial 12 ish?). i had a wire changed on top (7 weeks into the process) but it was the same size. :-( I want this process to go quickly especially before surgery but apparently it takes "at least" a year for the gaps to close from extractions and I'm going to be lucky if it's even a yr from now. I wish I were in your shoes!!! :-)
